October has started out on the cool-side and the pattern of occasional blasts of below normal temperatures is likely to continue. CMC model valid Tuesday morning NWS blend snowfall through middle of next week Amounts, if any, look very limited at this time. We are still 5 days out, so expect the potential for changes in the forecast. There is a *chance* that the mountains could see some light snow showers or flurries on Tuesday. Wind chills will be in the 20s! Brrr!!! Wind chills Tuesday morning That is *at least* 20 degrees below normal temperatures! The mountains will be even cooler with highs in the low to mid 40s (highest elevations in the 30s!) NWS blend of model temperatures – Tuesday afternoonįrost and freeze conditions are looking likely across the region, with lows dropping near or below freezing in the Tri-Cities (20s mountains) Tuesday and Wednesday morning. ![]() The current forecast high temperatures for Tuesday are in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees. The normal high temperature for the Tri-Cities this time of the month is 70 degrees. ![]() The Climate Prediction Center has highlighted the region in an 80-90% chance of below normal temperatures next week and into the weekend.
